Meridian Title Corporation has been writing title insurance and closing real estate transactions since 1938. We have five full-time attorneys on staff, two of whom were state underwriting counsel for national underwriters. With more than 30 offices across Indiana and Michigan, we are able to provide title and escrow services statewide.

MTC is an agent for all major national underwriters. This provides great flexibility because underwriting requirements can vary among different companies, and being an agent for multiple underwriters allows us to select the one that is most accommodating to you and your clients’ needs for each transaction.

MTC is also a qualified intermediary for 1031 exchanges. This is a great convenience because we prepare the exchange documents, place proceeds in escrow, and close replacement property transactions, providing a one-stop service for your clients.

A Few of Our People

Andrew R. Drake, Esq. – As former state counsel for Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation, 2006 president of the Indiana Land Title Association, and a graduate of Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, Andy has significant underwriting experience and knowledge in the industry.

Steven G. Lukemeyer, Esq. – Steve oversees all aspects of the commercial transactions in the Central Indiana region, including closing and underwriting. His past legal experience in the real estate and insurance industries provides him with a unique ability to manage and facilitate commercial transactions. Steve is also a graduate of Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis.

Frank A. Antonovitz, Esq. – Frank was also former state counsel for Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation, former president of the Indiana Land Title Association, a graduate of University of Notre Dame Law School, and has more than 30 years of experience underwriting and closing commercial transactions. Frank also served on the Board of Directors of the Homebuilders Association of St. Joseph Valley and the Mortgage Bankers Association.
